According to a recent study conducted by Adobe, in terms of traffic, tablets have already topped smartphones.

Indeed, based on the analysis of more than 1 billion visits to more than 1000 websites, the study shows that 8% of traffic comes from tablets against 7% for smartphones. Web traffic from desktops and laptops still represents a large majority (85%).

The performances recorded by tablets are all the more astonishing, since there are many more smartphones in circulation in the world than tablets.

This score could therefore be explained by “much more extensive visits” made from the tablets. Indeed, the number of page views and visits would be 1.7 times higher on tablets than on smartphones.
