Is very high speed taking off in France? In any case, this is what the latest Arcep report suggests.

Published yesterday, it underlines the growth in very high speed subscriptions in the first quarter of 2013. France now has 1.7 million subscribers to this offer, an increase of 22% in one year.

“This increase reflects two very good quarters, each with more than 100,000 subscriptions, ie an increase in net recruitments of 100% compared to the first quarter of 2012,” said the press release.

The number of broadband subscriptions reached 22.5 million, an increase of 160,000 over the quarter.

In total, the number of high and very high speed subscriptions on fixed networks reached 24.2 million as of March 31, 2013, up 260,000 over the quarter and 1.2 million in one year.
