Uber, driver’s mobile service, raises 32M dollars and arrives in Paris

Uber, the private chauffeur-driven mobile service, has just announced a fundraising of $ 32M (€ 24M) from Menlo Ventures, Jeff Bezos and Goldman Sachs. The service also benefits from LeWeb’11 to embark on the roads of the capital.

the dedicated application, simply ask for a car indicating where you are. The service then sends the nearest professional driver to pick you up and tells you by text the approximate arrival time. An elegant car then arrives within the next 5, 10 minutes. Once the race is finished, the service automatically debits the registered credit card, no need for cash. The price includes in advance the tip intended for the driver.
