Twim, the application for sharing good addresses with friends

by bold-lichterman

Launched in April 2017 by Olivier de Nicola and Romain Baumard, Twim is an application that allows you to share your book of good addresses with your friends. Thanks to a map and the geolocation function, users can list places they liked. “The idea was to get away from the carcants of the paper guide on the one hand and from the opinion sites on the other which are very often impersonal, which above all do not necessarily concern us ”, details Olivier de Nicola, co-founder of Twim.

The tool is currently only available on the App Store and is free. The start-up plans to forge partnerships with influencers, journalists and travel guides. They could thus share their discoveries with their network. The application is also intended for travelers. They could easily find the essential addresses unearthed by their friends.

In the market, Twim must in particular deal with tools such as Facebook Events, Mapstr or Wingit which are positioned on the recommendation of going out with friends. This competition does not frighten Olivier de Nicolas, who qualifies it as “necessary”. For now, Twim’s priority is to make itself known in France before expanding abroad.
