Auchan France unveiled its new management committee, which took office on December 1. Frédéric Bellon (former CEO of Auchan in Romania since 2014) becomes CEO of hypermarkets and Cyril Dreesen (former CEO of the Simply Market Poland subsidiary) CEO of supermarkets.
For several years, Auchan has been strengthening its position in multi-channel commerce, that is to say, which uses several points of contact. Auchan’s e-commerce division is currently made up of several sites: Auchandirect (online purchase, home delivery), Auchan.fr (purchase of non-food products) and… Chronodrive and AuchanDrive.fr, its two sites dedicated to shopping online, withdrawn from drives. As part of this multi-channel commerce strategy, Auchan has also opened Aushopping.com, an e-commerce site that allows Internet users to consult and order online products from stores in 7 shopping centers in Auchan, via its property company Immochan. Despite these initiatives, the challenges remain significant for Auchan in terms of e-commerce.
