Telecoms: a parliamentary committee wants to impose itself more

Created in 1990, the CSSPPCE (Higher Commission for the Public Service of Posts and Electronic Communications) has just seen four new members arrive, reports the newspaper The echoes. Somewhat forgotten, the committee would like to impose itself more in decisions on the telecom sector, and intends to hear several operators according to the economic daily.

Among the new members is Corinne Erhel (PS), a time anticipated by Manuel Valls to take the post of Secretary of State in charge of the Digital Economy. Ms. Erhel is a member of the Economic Affairs Commission at the National Assembly and is co-author with Laure de La Raudière (UMP), ofan information report on “the impact of telecom regulation on the telecom sector”. She had also accompanied Fleur Pellerin to the last Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and is supporting the Lannion technopole to obtain the “French Tech” label.

Composed of seven members, including seven deputies, the entity can in particular “take control of the most important decisions of the operators responsible for public service and universal service obligations and the modalities of the organization of the postal sector. telecommunications, as well as any other question falling within its field of competence ”specifies the Ministry of the Economy on its dedicated site.
