Talentsoft merges with E-doceo to accelerate in e-learning
New stage in the development of Talentsoft. The French company specializing in cloud software for the human resources sector announces its merger with E-doceo, a player in management solutions for face-to-face professional training or e-learning. The financial terms of the transaction, which aims to create a European-sized player with a more complete range of products and services, were however not communicated.
Based near Nantes, E-doceo is a software publisher intended for professionals in HR services whose vocation is to support them in the creation of e-learning content, teaching guides, lesson plans or even in the document management (files, modules, etc.). In parallel, the company publishes a platform for distributing content to employees. Subsequently, the HR departments can follow the progress of each employee in their training course (training time, sessions carried out, etc.).
“What is key today for employees is to be able to manage and develop their skills continuously, regardless of the approach (face-to-face, e-learning, virtual classes, social learning) or the support (PC or smartphone). Training is no longer just top down as in the past, but today the learner is co-constructor of his knowledge, ”said Jérôme Bruet, CEO of E-doceo in a press release.
Reinforce on e-learning
E-doceo is positioned on an important market. As a reminder, spending on vocational training and apprenticeship reached 32 billion euros in 2012 in France, according to a study of the Dares. With its model, E-doceo, which claims more than 1,200 customers worldwide, achieved a turnover of 5.8 million euros, up 13% over one year, according to published information with the Registry. In addition, the company is profitable, with a net profit of 118,300 euros last year.
This merger with E-doceo comes as Talentsoft completed a fundraising of 25 million euros a few months ago, in particular from the investment bank Goldman Sachs. “Talentsoft’s ambition is to be able to provide a perfectly integrated solution to the new challenges of corporate talent management, by uniquely linking information on employees and their skills with possible trajectories for their mobility and training paths adapted and personalized, and this, on 4 continents in more than 25 languages ”, underlines Jean-Stéphane Arcis, the CEO.
