The French start-up Superprof, specializing in private lessons at home, has completed the acquisition of its Italian competitor Corsi in Tre Click. Founded in August 2013 by Wilfried Granier and Yann Leguillon, Superprof has designed a platform that offers private lessons at home. These can take place physically or virtually by Skype.
The acquisition of Corsi in Tre Click allows Superprof to consolidate its position on the Italian market, where the Parisian start-up has been present since March 2016. The Corsi in Tre Click platform is located in 9 major Italian cities (Milan, Rome , Naples, Turin, Palermo, Padua, Florence, Bologna and Pisa) and claims 40,000 active teachers and 180,000 hours of lessons given each month.
With its Italian competitor now in its fold, Superprof has nearly 100,000 active teachers in Italy. “We are already the leader in Italy with 80,000 course searches per month and more than 50,000 teachers, coaches and enthusiasts. The acquisition of Corsi in TreClick allows us to strengthen our offer in Italy and expand our presence in the region», Explains Wilfried Granier, co-founder of Superprof. And Gloria mancuso (opposite), responsible for Italy at Superprof, to add: “With this buyout, we will be able to take a second step in our development in the region and start monetizing the site, which was completely free until then.“
The start-up Yatedo, which is developing a search engine for recruiters, has completed a funding round of 2 million euros. The investors were not specified. Launched in 2011 by Amyne Berrada and Saad Zniber, Yatedo has designed an Internet people search engine that extracts and aggregates public information online. Research results are delivered in the form of digital business cards, which allows recruiters to source and directly contact the profiles that interest them. To date, Yatedo claims 7 million unique visitors per month.
In 2017, the company plans to strengthen its workforce with the recruitment of 10 new employees. “This hyper-growth phase will allow us to confirm our leadership position in artificial intelligence for recruitment, thanks to the strengthening of our sales teams and our R&D.», Explains Saad Zniber, co-founder of Yatedo.

Hugo barra returns to the United States. Present at Xiaomi as vice-president in charge of international activities since October 2013, the Brazilian, who had distinguished himself by ensuring the development of Android from 2010 to 2013 at Google, is preparing to return to Silicon Valley to lead Facebook’s virtual reality hub.
“Hugo shares my belief that virtual and augmented reality will be the next major computing platform. It will allow us to experience completely new things and be more creative than ever. Hugo will help build that future, and I can’t wait to have him on our team“, said Mark Zuckerberg in a message posted on Facebook.
