Social media intelligence: Vigiglobe raises 1.1 million euros

The French start-up Vigiglobe has just raised 1.1 million euros from PACA Investissement, Starquest Capital, CPG and Kima Ventures. She develops artificial intelligence algorithms to analyze and understand what is happening on the social web. It claims to cover several million messages every day broadcast on the different platforms on behalf of brands that wish to benefit from solutions in the areas of customer relationship management, social TV or know the trends.

“This financial and strategic support will allow us to take many steps, in particular to further improve our interface by adding new artificial intelligence functionalities resulting from our R&D, to complete our SaaS offer, to recruit new talents. and to develop our commercial presence both geographically and by sector ”explains Laurent Dehasse, President of Vigiglobe.

Several indicators make it possible to provide analyzes: sentiment analysis, socio-demographic crossroads, classification of the themes addressed, etc. The company is also one of the few start-ups recognized by Twitter as a “technology partner” alongside Dataminr, ScribbleLive or Storify.

More broadly, it is positioned in the social media intelligence. In this market, France also has Linkfluence, which has raised 3.5 million euros in September 2013, then 3 million euros in March while buying TrendyBuzz. Also figure Synthesio which raised 14 million euros in March.

Used by “The Voice” in Quebec

Founded in 2011, Vigiglobe counts among its clients brands, media groups, market research firms and public institutions. According to its website, its solution was thus used during the debate between the candidates for the presidency of the European Commission in May, to analyze the discussions of Internet users on social networks, in more than 15 different languages, via the #TellEUROPE thread. .

It is also used by the program “La Voix”, the Quebec version of “The Voice”. Producers can thus obtain real-time analysis of the discussions generated around the program and interact with their audience.

With a head office and a research and development center – it collaborates with INRIA and European universities. Vigiglobe also has offices in London and Brussels.
