According to information from Les Echos, SFR plans to close 150 stores by 2014.
This system is part of an overall restructuring of its network, which has a total of 850 stores and corners.
The objective for the Vivendi subsidiary is therefore to adapt to the growing number of SIM-Only sales, which do not always require a trip to the store.
SFR could in particular remove points of sale in Darty stores and maintain those of Boulanger and La Fnac. The operator also intends to concentrate its prepaid offers on the large Carrefour and Auchan surafces.
For now, the operator, who would have lost more than 770,000 mobile customers in 2012, declined to comment on this information.
