[SEN#6] The Top 100 companies recruiting digitally
For this new edition of the Digital Employment Week (SEN # 6), Frenchweb was interested in the recruitment forecasts in digital profiles of French companies, in order to establish the 6th edition of its Top 100 companies recruiting digitally.
First lesson of the study, carried out in parallel with the ranking: by the end of the first half of 2017, the companies appearing in the Top 100 plan to recruit more than 7,900 digital profiles, of which 78% in the form of permanent contracts . Another observation is that more than half (52%) of recruitment forecasts for the period relate to job creation.
In terms of volume, 58% of the companies in the ranking plan to recruit between 25 and 50 people in the next 6 months. A third have planned more than 50 recruitments by the end of June 2017. Finally, it should be noted that the 12 most important companies in the ranking (in terms of staff) have planned to achieve almost half (46%) of recruitments declared by all companies over the period.
The Top 3 recruiters
At the top of the ranking of companies recruiting digital profiles is Dassault Systèmes. The software publisher, which employs 14,000 people at present, has planned more than 500 recruitments of digital profiles in the next six months, including profiles of developers. The company also says it will create 200 new positions in the next 6 months.
In the second place of the podium is the e-merchant Private sell, which has also planned more than 500 recruitments, including 50 job creations. Jacques-Antoine Granjon’s company is looking for profiles of developers and product owners.
Finally, in third place in the ranking, the company Gameloft, which plans to recruit between 451 and 500 people in the first half of 2017. It will also create 400 new positions in the next 6 months.
9 out of 10 companies are looking for an IT profile
In terms of business sectors, 18% of the companies in the ranking are in the marketing field, 13% in the field of finance at large (including banks and insurers) and Fintech. Finally, 9% of companies are in the field of consulting.
Unsurprisingly, 90% of recruiters in the ranking planned to recruit at least one IT profile. 84% of them have planned at least one recruitment with a commercial profile, and 77% of companies are recruiting in the field of marketing and communication.
** Methodology : Ranking established on the basis of data collected via an online questionnaire on the Frenchweb site, from September 26, 2016 to November 2, 2016. 391 companies responded to the survey on their recruitment details for the last quarter of 2016 as well as the first half of 2017. 278 respondents fall into the “Companies” category, 76 into those of “Digital Service Companies (ESN)”, and 35 into that of “Recruitment Firms”.
The Top 100 companies recruiting in the digital sector include the data declared by respondents in the “Companies” category, excluding ESNs and firms, which are treated separately. Three criteria were combined to determine the final ranking: the number of declared recruitments, le number of job creations declared, and the ratio of planned recruitments / total workforce of the company.
FrenchWeb mobilizes and organizes the sixth digital employment week (# SEN6) all week long (portraits, interviews, job offers, round tables, etc.). The #SENFW operation, intended to promote employment opportunities in this sector, takes place every 6 months.
