The Syntec Numérique organized Thursday evening its fifth edition of the Top 250 of French software publishers and creators. Like every year, Syntec Numérique and EY have published the results of their study on the sector. Based on the results of 380 companies, it emerges that the sector achieved a turnover growth of 17% last year, to 10.5 billion euros.
Among the important trends, the rise of Saas (software as a service, editor’s note) as a marketing method. This represented 22% of the sector’s turnover, against 17% a year earlier.
In addition to the study, several prizes were awarded. The Montpellier start-up Scimob won the video game award, Olfeo (digital security) the innovation award, and PrestaShop (e-commerce platform – the international one. Finally, the public prize was awarded to The Grizzly Labs (specialized in office automation tools).
