Samsung continues its rise in artificial intelligence. Another illustration of its ambitions in the sector, the South Korean firm has just opened an AI research center in New York, in the United States, to increase its research and development (R&D) capacities in this area. It is Samsung’s second center dedicated to artificial intelligence in the United States and the sixth in the world, after those in South Korea, the United Kingdom, Canada, Russia and Silicon Valley in the United States. -United.Apple-converted-space “>

The opening of this New York center comes a month after the announcement of a $ 22 billion envelope that should allow Samsung to invest in several areas of the future, such as artificial intelligence, 5G or even electronic components for cars. This diversification of the South Korean firm’s activities aims to cope with signs of slowing growth in its initial activities in the semiconductor and smartphone sector. Samsung is also beginning to bear the brunt of the saturation of the smartphone market with a 22% drop in its turnover related to mobile media in the second quarter.
