Results at half mast for SFR in 2013
Same title as for Bouygues Telecom yesterday, the figures for the first 9 months of the year are down, with a turnover of 7.616 billion euros, down 10.5%.
The net growth of the mobile subscriber base amounted to 1,169,000 subscribers during the first nine months of 2013. At the end of September, the mobile subscriber base totaled 17.732 million customers, an increase of 7.8% compared to at the end of September 2012.
SFR’s total mobile customer base amounts to 21.237 million. Growth in mobile Internet use continues with 56% of SFR customers equipped with smartphones (47% at the end of September 2012).
Revenues from the broadband and fixed Internet business amounted to 2,953 million euros, down 0.2%. The number of residential customers subscribed to high-speed Internet stood at 5.209 million at the end of September 2013, an increase of 134,000 customers compared to December 31, 2012, with an acceleration in recruitments for optical fiber. The “SFR Multi-Packs” offer had 2.248 million customers at the end of September 2013, ie an increase of 43% of the broadband fleet.
SFR’s adjusted operating income before depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to € 2,201 million, down 19.5% compared to the first nine months of 2012. Excluding non-recurring income, EBITDA fell by 18. 0%.
