The company created in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi has just completed a funding round of 350 million dollars for a valuation of more than 10 billion dollars.
This funding aims to provide the means to Dropbox to position itself in relation to its competitors, in particular cloud services from Microsoft or another startup Box.
Since its inception, Dropbox has recorded more than $ 600 million in investment, including Accel Partners and Sequoia Capital. The company made numerous acquisitions including Mailbox, an e-mail management software under Mac OS for $ 100 million.
The company has 350 employees and is planning a major recruitment plan to accelerate its development.
