The consulting and audit firm PwC completed the acquisition of Datasio, a start-up specializing in Big Data. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Founded in 2012 in Toulouse, Datasio supports large industrial groups in the development of their business model.
This takeover should enable PwC to strengthen its skills in the field of consulting within the digital transformation of companies. With this in mind, the firm got its hands on Nealite, a company specializing in service design and user experience, in November 2015.
As part of this new acquisition, Datasio employees join the ranks of PwC to complete the firm’s offer in Big Data, mainly for the industrial and aeronautical sectors. “The Datasio teams are dedicated to building Big Data solutions for all our customers in France“, precise Loïc Mesnage, partner responsible for PwC’s technology consulting business.
Ezbeez, the start-up which simplifies the payroll and social procedures of VSEs and SMEs announces a new fundraising of 250,000 euros from its historical investors.
Since its creation in 2014, the company has grown thanks to initial funding of 600,000 euros (contribution from the founders and love money) and support from Bpifrance (150,000 euros). This new fundraising brings to one million euros the overall funding envelope from which the company has benefited for 2 years. After a successful “proof of concept” phase (the year’s results should be higher than the objectives), the company created by André Martinie and Ugo Loustalet aims to raise 2.5 million euros in 2017, in order to support its commercial development.
68% of retailers who sponsored a social media campaign on Facebook saw an increase in their conversion rates; this proportion drops to 40% on Instagram, according to the results of State of Retailing Online 2016: Marketing and Merchandising Report, produced by the National Federation of Retailers (NRF) and by Forrester.
First lesson of the study: 92% of retailers are now present on social networks, and 63% of them say they have implemented a content marketing strategy. Finally, more than half (55%) of retailers say they have increased their online merchandising budget, and 44% of them have increased the number of people dedicated to monitoring merchandising campaigns.
Half of the companies estimate that less than 10% of the sums they have invested in the last 5 years in the media have been redirected to their own communication tools, according to the results of the study “Digital, personalized, human, what will the communication of tomorrow look like?»Produced by UDA and Kantar.
Based on this observation, the authors of the study sought to determine what were the key factors to optimize a company’s marketing strategy. Recourse to missing external skills, as well as an entrepreneurial mindset are avenues to explore for more than a third of the decision makers questioned.

Renaud Marcadet joins Sociabble as Country Manager France
Sociabble, a platform that turns employees into ambassadors on social networks, has decided to engage the services of Renaud Marcadet. He joined the French start-up as Country Manager for France.
In his new role, he will be responsible for consolidating Sociabble’s position on the French market and supporting the international expansion of the platform. Previously, Renaud Marcadet worked for Dell, Microsoft and IBM.
