Profits up 84% for Japanese SoftBank in H1 2013

The Japanese telecom operator SoftBank, headed by Masayoshi Son, has just published its results for the first half of 2013, recording more than 3 billion euros in profits for a turnover of 20 billion euros. This exceptional increase is due to the integration of sales for the 2nd quarter of Sprint Nextel, which nevertheless recorded an operating loss of 170 million euros.

The group should record at the end of the year 7.7 billion euros in profits for 46.2 billion in turnover.
