Pinterest announced yesterday that it has acquired the start-up Livestar, for an undisclosed amount.
Specializing in mobile and personalized recommendations, the start-up was founded in 2011 by Fritz Lanman, known for his investments in Square, Getaround or even… Pinterest!
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but according to Techcrunch information, the acquisition would mainly concern three engineers from the start-up, who will join the corkboard 2.0 teams. The Livestar application should therefore close its doors soon. Fritz Lanman will not join the Pinterest teams full time but will continue his role as an advisor.
The start-up had previously raised $ 2M.
