Apple would have indeed violated a patent of Samsung announced today the United States International Trade Commission (USITC). Sentenced last summer to a record fine of $ 1.05 billion and initially dismissed of its complaint by the American courts, the South Korean giant would obtain on this point successful.

The apple brand has, according to the findings of the commission, infringed a technological patent belonging to Samsung for the marketing of products across the Atlantic and which would be linked “to 3G and the ability of devices to transmit several services simultaneously and correctly “.

This decision concerns in particular the iPhone 3G and iPhone 4 phones as well as the iPad 3G and iPad 2 3G tablets distributed by the telecoms operator AT&T. The latter should therefore be withdrawn from the sale, unless Barack Obama decides otherwise, who has 60 days to use his veto.

Kristin Huguet, spokesperson for Apple, has already indicated that Cupertino would appeal this decision.
