Orange NFC Awards competition: invent the mobile application of tomorrow!

by bold-lichterman

Orange is launching the competition for the first time Orange NFC Awards to develop the NFC services of tomorrow. It is aimed at students, developers and companies interested in contactless technology. The public will have to create innovative mobile applications on this technology, which opens the way to new uses on mobile: paying for and accessing public transport, storing loyalty cards on their mobile, opening the door of their car, etc.

Candidates will have the choice between two themes:

    • design applications that simplify daily life or enrich leisure time.
  • create new journeys that improve the customer experience and relationship.

Following a pre-selection by Orange experts, the nominees will benefit from a customer test of their concept as well as technical support for the development of their mobile application. The projects will be presented to the members of the jury, chaired by Jean-Paul Cottet and of which FrenchWeb is a partner, June 6, 2013 in Paris. The 3 winners will be awarded endowments with a respective value of 20,000, 10,000 and 5,000 euros. A bonus of 5,000 euros will be awarded to the winners who have developed their prototype under the secure NFC Control mode (card emulation) which is based on NFC Cityzi SIM cards.
