Orange launches Sosh, its 100% digital mobile brand
It was this morning that Stéphane Richard, CEO of Orange, unveiled the new 100% digital brand, Sosh, understand “to socialize” …
Designed to meet the needs of 18-35 year olds, ultra-connected, very active on the web and social media, Sosh offers three packages at attractive prices ranging from € 19.90 to € 39.90 per month, for packages ranging from 2h to 24/7, with the possibility, as part of the 5h package, to use its mobile as a modem to connect other terminals (tablets, PCs, Netbooks, etc.). With data transfers ranging from 500 MB to 1 GB per month, the customer will be able to recharge them as soon as he has exceeded the limit.
But above all, the Sosh offer is without engagement, Orange’s desire to remain an operator popular, as Stéphane Richard indicated during the press conference.
Available from October 6 only on sosh.fr, Orange will accelerate to the maximum the acquisition of new customers by opening the collaborative forum on its site, and by proposing a user vote to determine the range of phones offered at launch (iPhone 3GS, Blackberry, Nokia, etc.). However, we note that the iPhone 5 promised for the month of October will not, for the time being, enter the range of Sosh mobiles.
Orange indicates that the Deezer music platform, a must-have for this young target, will be offered as an option.
Delphine Ernotte, Executive Director of Orange France, insisted on strengthening customer relations through a team of community managers present on a dedicated forum, chats, and community animation on the main social networks.
Sosh wants to reach half a million new customers by the end of 2012, a commercial operation that could overshadow the Free Mobile offer scheduled for early 2012, at the latest.
