Oracle buys start-up Crosswise to accelerate cross-device data analysis

Oracle has ad have reached an agreement to acquire the Israeli start-up Crosswise, specializing in cross device marketing solutions. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

Founded in 2013, Crosswise develops a technology to identify and track Internet users regardless of the devices (desktop, tablet, mobile, etc.) they use. A solution for offering targeted advertising, personalized content or even data analysis. On its website, the company mainly targets ad tech sellers, publishers and brands.

Among its customers are Turn and Marin Software. To finance itself, Crosswise had completed a funding round of $ 3 million last year with several private investors, including Horizons Ventures.

“Crosswise’s innovative technology processes over a petabyte of user and device activity data from billions of unique devices each month,” Oracle explains. Following this acquisition, Oracle wants to integrate Crosswise’s solutions into its Oracle Data Cloud suite, which is aimed in particular at marketers.
