Founded in June 2015 by Laurent Denel and Guillaume Delaporte, supported by a team of engineers, OpenIO creates storage platforms for massive object storage infrastructures. These solutions make it easier for companies to access a large amount of data and to order tasks to be performed such as indexing.
The company is working in particular on its OpenIO SDS solution, its open-source object store. On the other hand, the start-up has launched a new serverless IT framework. The latter is intended for Big Data, IoT and Machine Learning applications. “Large amounts of data are produced and consumed every day and the IT industry is undergoing a major revolution. Big Data, IoT and Machine Learning applications are driving this transformation», Analyzes Laurent Denel, CEO and co-founder of OpenIO. The company currently claims 60 million users across all of its solutions.
With this new investment, OpenIO wishes to strengthen its presence in the EMEA market. The company’s ambition is to settle in the United States and Japan. To do this, it intends to hire new employees. Currently the company has 20 employees.
