by bold-lichterman

Specialized in “open innovation consulting and services”, bluenove merges with the Canadian start-up Clouds, which publishes the “collective intelligence” software Assembl and supports the collaborative platform Imagination for People. To finance the transaction, the company raised C $ 1.9 million (€ 1.34 million) from the Canadian Investment Fund. The new structure, blunove Group, will be based in Canada and will operate from Montreal and Paris.

With this funding round, the company wishes to develop the Assembl software, in particular to make it interoperable with major corporate social networks, and to strengthen its position internationally. Founded in 2008, bluenove claims to have large groups among its clients including Michelin, Microsoft, SNCF, RATP, Galeries Lafayette, and Suez Environnement.

Target businesses and communities

“In a context where Open Innovation considerably widens the scope of innovation of the company and the number of its stakeholders to involve, both internal and external, the support of the pioneering technology Assembl, allows bluenove to anticipate these managerial transformations to offer its customers a real solution for collaboration and innovation on a very large scale ”explains Martin Duval, president of the new entity bluenove Group.

“Our hybrid model is based on a cross between dedicated applications (collective intelligence, predictive markets, sourcing of unconventional experts, etc.) and bluenove’s consulting know-how (management of innovative communities, organization of challenges, detection of start-up, etc.). This positioning allows us to participate directly in solving the most mobilizing strategic problems within companies and communities ”adds Frank Escoubès, executive chairman of bluenove Group.
