Online voting: Spaniard Scytl raises $ 20 million

by bold-lichterman

Scytl has just raised $ 20 million from SAP Ventures. The Spanish company provides electronic voting software and solutions on the Internet: planning, registration on lists, reporting, etc.

Founded in 2001, the company notably signed with the French government for the legislative elections, despite some fears. The firm, which claims to hold 87% of the global online voting market, had already completed a funding round of $ 40 million with Vulcan Capital.

The company claims to be profitable since 2006, to have fifteen offices around the world, and to have filed 40 patents to protect its technologies.
