The information is now confirmed: after being offered SFR, Numericable will get its hands on Virgin Mobile. The cable operator has confirmed that it has signed the acquisition agreement with the parent company of virtual mobile operator Omer Telecom Limited. The operation is however suspended for the approval of the competition authorities.

Last month, the group of Patrick Drahi had announced that he had entered into exclusive negotiations for a valuation of the MVNO at 325 million euros. Vivendi should then participate in the repurchase for up to 200 million euros according to the press release issued last month. Launched in France in 2006, Virgin Mobile claims 1.7 million customers for 2,500 points of sale.
