NRF 2016: The Lyonnais of Cegid want to seduce the retail world

It’s the big annual raid for e-commerce professionals which is held at the beginning of the week in New York. More than 30,000 visitors will come to Big Retail Show organized by the NRF (National Retail Federation). In the Top 10 participating countries, France, the first European delegation represented, with brands such as L’Oréal, L’Occitane, LVMH and even Carrefour. An event where “89% of participants have an impact on purchasing policies” and on the next digital trends, specifies the show.

This year, the French from Cegid want to be at the forefront. The Lyon-based management software publisher announced “its biggest presence” at the NRF Big Show. Through a new “WebStore” solution, the company will present an omnichannel offer, “for sales, goods, points of sale, clienteling, management, BI and data analytics”, specifies the group which employs over 2,000 people. Le Lyonnais plans to unveil a solution for shops “fully integrated for all customers”. In short, a clean solution for the connected store and new services.

Behaviors in real time

Concretely, the French must present “a brand experience without interruption on all channels and through a real-time view of stocks and customer behavior”. To weigh in at the NRF show, Cegid, which claims 110,000 customers worldwide, will appear with its partners, such as Aures, a French manufacturer of sales terminals, Ayden, FinTech specializing in international payments, Nedap, an anti-theft solution for stores, or even Viseo in data analysis.

Led by Patrick Bertrand, the 61-year-old general manager, the publisher does not hide its American ambitions. Last December, he bought the Canadian Technomedia, a talent management solution in the company. Earlier he was acquiring the American company JDS Solutions, specializing in software publishing for commerce brick and mortar.

Created in 1986, the group listed on Euronext, reported a turnover of 66.5 million euros in the third quarter of 2015, up 11% and 31% in SaaS activity; offers that the group now favors.
