Bestofmedia, publisher of high tech sites, has just enriched its offer by launching Tom’s Guide Solutions, a new question and answer service dedicated to high-tech issues. The objective: to simplify the search for solutions for all these problems, by relying in particular on a strong community of 1.2 million subscribers.
In this context, the platform therefore offers:
- A search engine that evolves from a simple frozen list of categories, to keywords representing user problems, through product names or brands.
- Easy access for new users: asking a question can be done either in anonymous (without registration), or by connecting to one of the six supported social platforms (Google, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Yahoo, Microsoft), or finally, by creating a Tom’s Guide account.
- A system called “best answer”, which makes it possible to find a solution to the problem encountered as quickly as possible.
- A valuation of the experts of the community. Each quality participation on Tom’s Guide Solutions allows you to earn your way towards expertise badges, rewarding experts who have solved many questions in each topic.
The idea is therefore to complete an offer already available on the forums, by bringing simplicity and clarity, in particular via the “best answers” system, which synthesizes the most relevant answers, selected by the community.
