Based in Paris and New York, Gutenberg Technology is a French company created in 2009 around book digitization solutions.
At the beginning of LeLivreScolaire.fr (presented in 2010 on FrenchWeb), which has since become a 100% subsidiary, the company will unveil on the occasion of the Book Fair which opens tomorrow in Paris a technological first with Gutenberg 3.0.
Intended for the publishing world, this platform will allow books to be processed in a unified workflow for traditional paper publication, web distribution and compatibility with all tablets and smartphones. No more tedious PDF manipulations and specific developments for each mobile OS. The result is real economies of scale for professionals who today have no other choice but to be on all fronts of distribution.
While 20% of books sold in the United States are in digital format and France is lagging behind in this sector, Gutenberg Technology is already attracting some of the world’s major publishers. Gutenberg 3.0 will be available in a few weeks.
