[Nouveau] Berlin Maniacs: all the latest news from the Berlin web scene in French!
A new information site has just been launched. Completely French speaking, Berlin Maniacs aims to inform French entrepreneurs of the synergies of the Berlin web and tech scene.
Imagined and carried by Nicolas Kayser-Bril and Anastasia Levy, this media project is supported, as its name suggests, by its big brother: the French webzine Silicon Maniacs. Nirina Thibault, Editor-in-Chief of Silicon Maniacs: “ At Silicon Maniacs we felt the affinities between the spirit of Berlin and the energy of the innovative communities that we animate here in Paris, whether they are net artists, startuppers or hackers. What interests us with Berlin Maniacs is to create bridges between these actors, whether they are in Paris or Berlin. If there is a common culture, make sure they talk to and inspire each other. “
Cultural, business, financial aspects … The contributors of the new media will therefore go to meet the Berlin entrepreneurs to analyze trends in the city of the Bear and give French startups the keys to setting up in the German capital, which would appear, according to the fathers of Berlin Maniacs, as the second most active place in the world in terms of young shoots created.
Indeed, if the image of “copycats” largely sticks to the skin of the German capital, Berlin also appears as the cradle of many renowned startups like SoundCloud (who recently raised $ 50M) or the geolocated social network Aka-Aki.
For now, the new information site has only a few articles (presentation of the city, the project, zoom on coworking spaces, job offers). However, BerlinManiacs.org is also a project under construction and therefore remains open to contributions from anyone.
