NFC, Dailymotion, OpenTourisme … Focus on the upcoming BeMyApps Weekends!
BeMyApps Weekends are back to school! On the menu, 3 sessions organized around NFC technology, the Dailymotion service and OpenTourism.
Always based on the same principles, the BeMyApp WeekEnds bring together the skills of various profiles: creatives, developers and graphic designers. Anyone with an original idea for a mobile application can therefore participate. Each team pitch their idea on Friday evening, and, if it is accepted by the jury, the trio have the entire weekend to develop this application.
The first session will take place October 5, 6 and 7 and will offer participants the opportunity to develop Android applications based on NFC technology. In partnership with Orange, the association will give the winning team a check for 5,000 euros. The partners will provide participants with the necessary equipment: tablets, screens, NFC chips, connected furniture, so that the applications are tested in real conditions of use. The event will be held at IESA, the school of cultural and art market professions in Paris.
The second weekend will revolve around the Dailymotion service. The event will take place October 19, 20 and 21 in the premises of the IESA. The participants will have to develop video applications using the APIs and SDKs of the streaming platform. Dailymotion will offer 6 MacBooks Pro to the winners of this session.
Finally, on November 9, 10 and 11, the last BeMyApp weekend scheduled for the moment will take place under the sign of open data. As part of a collaboration with the Bouches du Rhône department, the Data connexion program and Google, candidates will have to develop applications related to the world of e-tourism, based on available public data. With this in mind, Bouches-du-Rhône, Gironde, Loire-Atlantique, the city of Paris, SNCF will make their data available alongside those of data.gouv.fr.
More original, this edition will offer teams in Paris, Nantes and Bordeaux to code during their journey by TGV to Marseille. It is indeed in the heart of the Phocaean city that the final of this weekend will be held.
At the end of this edition, Bouches-du-Rhône Tourisme will offer the winning team a week’s rental for 6 to 10 people in Provence, Marseille or the Camargue valued at € 1,200.
Participants will also have the opportunity to enter their projects in the Dataconnexions competition with a presentation to a community of industrialists and VCs.
