The amount

Nanocloud, a company that is developing a platform to adapt software to the cloud, has just raised 2 million euros from Bpifrance, Breega Capital, Siparex Proximity and Seed4soft. This is the company’s first round of funding.

The market

Founded in 2015 by Cédric Carbone, Dominique Rodrigues and Erfane Arwani, Nanocloud is developing a platform that allows traditional applications to be transformed into a cloud solution without having to rewrite the code. The idea is to allow companies to switch their economic model towards Saas offers (software marketed as services, note).

“The cloud is the key to accessing the functionalities required by modern organizations: ubiquity, accessibility, availability, scalability (scalability), adaptability to new technical environments ”, declares Dominique Rodrigues, co-founder of Nanocloud. With its offer, the company targets large companies, software publishers, but also the community open source. To remunerate itself, Nanocloud markets access to its platform in the form of a subscription.

The concept

“This fundraising will allow us to continue our investments in R&D, to internationalize quickly, and finally, to recruit technical and commercial profiles. (…) This survey also validates our model and value proposition in the cloud market and the digital transformation of which we want to be the driving force for large companies and software publishers ”, comments Erfane Arwani, co-founder of Nanocloud.
