Invoice2go just raised $ 35 million from Accel Partners and Ribbit Capital. Following the transaction, Greg Waldorf of Accel Partners becomes the new CEO of the company.
The Australian start-up is developing an application that allows companies to manage their cash flow with a simplified billing system. It claims to be used in some 50 countries by more than 100,000 small businesses for an annual billing volume of $ 10 billion. The application is already available in eleven languages, including English and French.
She wants to take this investment to open an office in Palo Alto, California and recruit new talent. “We see an opportunity for Invoice2go to make mobile invoicing as easy as Dropbox did for file sharing,” said Ryan Sweeney of Accel Partners, who is joining the company’s board.
