Bringing residents closer to their city: this is the goal that Meetphone. This Parisian start-up is developing a mobile application marketed as a white label to local authorities that allows its users to access many local services. It can be a question of finding job offers, but also of tools for everyday life: the calendar of activities, geolocation map of good addresses, transport timetables, etc.
But beyond this informative aspect, Meetphone also offers citizens to report to their elected officials, or to the appropriate administrative services, a possible problem, such as a broken lamppost in a street. Founded in 2010, the company already works with several clients, such as the 17th arrondissement of the City of Paris or the city of Châteauroux. With such a concept, the company operates in the local applications market which interests other players with sometimes different positions such as CityLity or Fluicity.
But beyond local communities, Meetphone, which markets its SaaS offer, also targets associations and companies that wish to use it as a communication tool. To finance its development, Meetphone completed a fundraising of 2 million euros last year, in particular from Olivier Dassault.
