Mediametry just published the latest figures relating to the mobile internet audience last April. According to the institute, over the month studied, more than 9 out of 10 mobile users (90.6%) visited at least one site – whether or not optimized for mobile. And nearly 7 in 10 (68.9%) consulted at least one connected mobile application from their smartphone, up from 67.1% in March.

Indeed, in April, 5.8M mobile users connected at least once to a weather site or application, i.e. 19% more than in March 2012.

The institute also notes an increase in audience for all order platforms ” convenient “. Indeed, 6.2M mobile users have used plans, maps and routes from their mobile. The month of April seems to have been definitely turned to leisure and entertainment, given the number of hotel searches, up 11% in one month.

In the same vein, mobile users were also interested this month in theme parks and museums. They are thus 21% more than in March to have consulted the sites and applications of the Tourism / Destinations sub-category.

In terms of rankings, among the most visited mobile sites have still found: Google, Facebook, Youtube, Apple and Orange, which maintains its 5th position ahead of the micro-blogging site Twitter.

There have also been few changes in applications. Google, YouTube, iTunes, Game Center and Orange monopolize the ranking. Facebook only appears in 5th position with 2.9M VU in April 2012.
