From September 10 to 12, 2018, the French Tech Days will be organized for the first time in Stockholm. A unique opportunity for Swedish and French start-ups to meet and discuss topics such as fundraising, product innovation and growth strategies. Beyond the inspiring aspect of this meeting, it is also an opportunity for French start-ups to validate their ideas and a way to find business partners. For my part, I will be a speaker around marketing issues and share what French start-ups can learn from Swedish unicorns. If you are tempted by a 2-day immersion in Stockholm’s Tech ecosystem, here is more information.

What are the French Tech Days?

The French Tech Days are immersion programs in the growth markets of Tech at the initiative of Business France since 2013 and supported by French Tech (note that the edition in Stockholm is also organized in collaboration with the Chamber of French trade in Sweden). The program is generally divided between round tables and keynotes, inspiring visits to the offices of local start-ups, personalized BtoB meetings for each of the participating companies but also includes pitches with investors from the region as well as networking cocktails.

Why Sweden?

Sweden is home to some of the biggest tech companies in Europe, and Stockholm comes second after Silicon Valley for the number of unicorns per capita. As I had pointed out in this article, French start-ups have a lot to learn from their Swedish counterparts, in particular in order to scale their business internationally. Sweden is therefore a flagship destination for entrepreneurs.

Who can participate?

The French Tech Days are intended for innovative French start-ups wishing to validate their ideas, refine their launch strategy or discuss with potential future customers, partners, or investors.

The Stockholm French Tech Days will focus on the sectors of FinTech, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, connected objects, and virtual reality.
