The recruitment forum – past event

The Digital Recruitment Forum, co-organized by MEIF, Rennes Atalante and La French Tech Rennes St Malo (La FTRSM), took place on April 4.

On this occasion, job seekers were able to meet start-ups and small or large companies looking for digital profiles, as well as training organizations and employment partners who will present their offers to you.

It was also the opportunity to take stock in the presence of Gaëlle Andro, vice-president of Rennes Métropole in charge of economic development, as well as the start-ups Klaxoon and Ariase, who took stock of the digital jobs in the territory in 2016 thanks to an Audiar survey.

2016 was a very good year for jobs in digital companies, with a net balance of 950 additional jobs, more than 2014 and 2015 combined. In total, the 1,060 companies identified for 2016 employ 27,300 people.

Laval Virtual 2017 – past event

Laval Virtual 2017 took place from March 23 to 26 for professionals and was open to the general public on weekends. They welcomed 7,900 professional visitors and 9,800 general public visitors, i.e. 17,700 participants who came to meet the 240 exhibitors.

Laval Virtual is the largest professional exhibition of virtual and augmented reality in France, and for this 19th edition there were still a lot of new features!

It was also an opportunity for some specialized Rennes company to appear on the round tables this year.

Kaouenn Studio and the group INOVCO specialized respectively in virtual reality and BIM (building information modeling) were able to discuss issues and use cases in the field of construction and real estate.

We were able to listen to a keynote by Richard Kulpa from M2S laboratory located at Rennes 2 University on the use of virtual reality during sports training.

Creative society EYK France based in Betton has come to testify to the use of Virtual Reality in advertisements and the new approaches brought by technology.

Mobility is a very important aspect in advertising, between smartphone and helmet, the choice of the great number is towards smartphones and therefore we must be able to provide suitable mobile content and this is what has come to defend Artefacto also based in Betton.

Gaël Seydoux from Technicolor Rennes came to give a keynote on immersive media and the evolution of capture technologies (real world and user), rendering, binaural audio, artificial intelligence, interactivity and Haptic feedback that build the narrative experiences in complex worlds that place the user at the center of their worlds.

We were fortunate to have 3 Rennes companies on the tourism roundtable: Area I3 specializing in 360 video capture and promotion of the territory, E – mage in 3D specialized in the promotion of culture and heritage through digital technology as well as Lamark specialized in image traceability and copyright.

We also had the company AMA with its connected glasses which exhibited throughout the show to present its solution in the industry and energy sector but also in the medical sector.

We also came across a lot of Rennes companies walking the aisles of Laval Virtual, maybe even more Rennes in 2018?
