[Made in Montpellier] The 1st Android User Group, TellMePlus, the right address….
Montpellier, a city that received the French Tech label just over a year ago, is gradually continuing to get involved in the world of the Web and new technologies.
Organizing conferences and building communities in these areas is not yet fully anchored in the mentality of developers in the region, but that is tending to change.
Indeed, last Thursday was held the first Android User Group from Montpellier.
Initiated by Hugo Gresse (@HugoGresse) and Benjamin Volland (@BenVolland), both Android developers at Teads, this meeting brought together more than twenty people in the premises of the company specializing in AdTech which continues to be talked about.
After a quick presentation of the company, Hugo explained how the Android SDK works at Teads and all the difficulties that this entails in serving video ads on the mobile. Benjamin, for his part, returned to his experience feedback concerning tests in this mobile environment. Questions and an aperitif followed, allowing each person present to share their personal experience.
This initiative was also welcomed and welcomed by the participants, thus giving additional impetus to the organization of meetups and the sharing of knowledge.
Indeed until now, only the Montpellier JUG (Java User Group) was held on a regular basis. Now that a first mobile meetup has been launched, when will the Montpellier iOS User Group be?
