Private sell, leader in event sales on the internet, forecasts a turnover of more than € 100M generated by its m-commerce branch. The site would then be one of the few brands in Europe which achieve more than 10% of its overall turnover via the mobile channel.
As a reminder, Private sell launched in June 2010 a variation of its site in iPhone, iPad applications, Windows Phone and since last May Android. Since these launches, the site has recorded more than 1M downloads on iPhone and iPad in Europe. Finally, excluding applications, Vente Privée already has nearly 1.85M visitors accessing the website via their mobile.
A booming market therefore and which looks promising. In fact, the penetration rate of smartphones in France is 27% with 14M units. And, according to Inventory of the mobile published by Dagobert agency, in 2014, mobiles should become the most used medium for accessing the web. Today, nearly 25% of French mobile users have already made payments from their device.
