The start-up will keep the research and development teams in France.

cosmo-companySpecialized in the modeling and simulation of complex systems, the Toulouse start-up The CoSMo Company has just raised 3.8 million euros from Aster Capital and Émergence Innovation 1 (Sofimac Partners). The company publishes a platform to simulate their activity evolutions and their impacts on “the resilience of complex logistics chains, the robustness of critical networks (electricity, water, communication, etc.), the optimization of the environmental impact of urban infrastructures or even the optimization of bioproduction for the pharmaceutical industry ”.

The founders – Eric Boix, Hugues de Bantel and Michel Morvan – will take advantage of this investment to open a subsidiary in San Francisco. “This funding provides us with the necessary resources to intensify our commercial deployment in Europe and across the Atlantic,” comments Mr. Morvan. This new office will be used primarily to speed up the marketing of products since the research and development teams should remain in France.

“This fundraising will allow us to deploy our new generation of modeling tools more widely and to execute our technological roadmap” adds Mr. Boix. The CoSMo Company also wishes to orient the marketing of its solution in the form of licenses and thus attract new customers. “The software and services developed by The CoSMo Company fill a major gap in the analytics market and pave the way for Big Data for industrial sectors,” said Alexander Schlaepfer, partner at Aster Capital.
