The London Technology Week will soon open across the Channel. And the large companies present in London are about to recruit 2,000 apprentices to kick off this new season and boost the London tech scene. Among the firms cited, we find in particular IBM or the French Capgemini, which should recruit 200 apprentices each, alongside Virgin Media or British Airways. Microsoft could even offer more than 1,200 places directly in its structures, or with its partners.
This strategy is part of the will of the mayor of the city, Boris Johnson, to boost the sector. According to several studies, the city should create nearly 46,000 new jobs in the technology sector over the next decade.
