[Logiciel] Graitec raises 2.5 million euros for its 3D modeling solutions
The French software publisher Graintec has just raised 2.5 million euros from Isatis Capital (240 million euros in assets under management). The company based in Bièvres, in Yvelines, is specialized in the development of “BIM” solutions (building information modeling, ndlr), that is to say to design digital 3D models. More than 40,000 construction professionals in some fifty countries use its solutions (figures from Graitec).
“60 million euros of turnover in 2016”
“We have been supporting the Graitec group since 2005 (…). Driven by the growth of BIM in Europe and the United States, the Graitec group has all the means to become a mid-size company (ETI, editor’s note), leader in this strategic sector ”estimates Bertrand Limoges, associate director of Isatis Capital.
Graitec is not only the publisher of its own software. The company also distributes products from Autodesk, an American company that publishes 3D design software. “Since Graitec has positioned itself as a strategic partner of Autodesk in addition to its own technologies, our growth has accelerated considerably. We are now platinum resellers in Europe and our technological developments complete this partnership. We envision a turnover of more than 60 million euros in 2015. Isatis Capital, our new investor partner, has given us the financial means to create this dynamic ”explains Francis Guillemard, CEO of Graitec.
Thanks to this new funding round, Graitec intends to strengthen its market share, in particular through external growth operations. It also announces the acquisition of MicroCAD (UK), Autodesk reseller; ERA3 (Italy), software for computer-aided manufacturing and manufacturing shop rationalization; Robobat Polska (Poland), partner of Autodesk, and HPC (France), thermal simulation software.
Founded in 1986 by Francis Guillemard, the French subsidiary, where the head office is based, posted 7.4 million euros in sales for the 2013 financial year according to the documents filed. Present in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific, the company has 330 employees around the world (Graitec figures).
