LinkedIn has just announced the acquisition of Careerify, a Toronto-based start-up specializing in human resources management. The transaction amount was not sent. The company is developing several solutions for managing internal mobility in large groups and developing the employer brand (content marketing…).

But it is also at the origin of ” Talent Acquisition Software », A solution to manage recruitments and encourage employee engagement. Concretely, the software makes it possible to use employee contacts on social networks to recruit new talents and obtain recommendations. Several large companies such as Deloitte, Microsoft or Unilever use its services.

“Careerify will no longer focus its efforts on internal mobility and the image of the employer brand. We will only focus on continuing to improve our employee reference software for existing clients, and we will not take on new clients, ”explains Harpaul Sambhi, the founder and CEO of Careerify.

“We decided to join LinkedIn because of what we needed: to reach a large scale. More than 30,000 companies around the world use LinkedIn for recruiting, and with more than 347 million members, LinkedIn offers the opportunity to have a much greater impact on job search and hiring ”continues- he. Nothing is specified, however, on the integration of solutions and teams with the professional social network.
