[LeWeb London] French Teleportd in the final of the startup competition
The two French, Gabriel Hubert and Stanislas Polu, founders of the start-up Teleportd, are among the three participants of the startup competition selected for the final of the competition.
It will take place at 5 p.m. today, as part of LeWeb London, organized around the theme “faster than real time”. The young French shoot will then have to make the difference alongside the other two finalists: Hojoki and Blippar.
Developed last July, the project imagined by this tandem consists of giving more meaning to the flow of photos posted by Internet and mobile users. Concretely Teleportd has focused on three main verticals: brands, events and media. The start-up thus aims to give more value to public photos, by organizing them, so that the professionals concerned can optimize their re-use.
In total, the two French have therefore entered into various partnerships with around fifteen online photo platforms. Among them: Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare or even Flickr and Path to name a few.
For now, the service is only in private beta and the date of its official launch is still undetermined. The start-up, which has 6 employees, has already raised nearly € 100,000 from Seedcamp and various business angels. In order to extend its service, Teleportd intends to proceed, in the short term, with a new round of financing.
Thanks to the project, Teleportd has therefore succeeded in standing out from the three other French startups, not selected for the remainder of the competition. This was the hotel reservation mobile application VeryLastRoom, the community weather app Wezzoo, and finally from the start-up ND Interactive, publisher of the social gaming platform Everfeel.
