La Poste is accelerating in data-driven services. The French group has just bought ProbaYes, a company based in the Inovallée – a technopole located in the Grenoble region – which develops “Big data” solutions. However, the amount of the transaction was not disclosed.

Founded in 2003, ProbaYes, which today has around thirty employees, develops “predictive” analysis and data exploitation solutions for commercial or operational purposes. It also offers an offer specially designed for the management and optimization of energy consumption, based on data collected from buildings. On its website, ProbaYes claims several major accounts using its solutions, such as Orange, Thales, Valeo or even Toyota and… La Poste.

“This operation allows La Poste Group to equip itself with an artificial intelligence research center to meet internal transformation and optimization needs as well as the personalization and development needs of new services for its customers”, explains the group in a statement.
