Jukeboard signals the return of the version 2.0 jukebox

by bold-lichterman

Launched by the Nantes start-up Smart Pixel, Jukeboard is an application allowing its users to choose the music played in the bar or restaurant where they spend the evening.

Present on the crowdfunding platform Ulule.com, where it has so far collected € 1,355 of the € 7,500 required, Jukeboard allows its users to classify nearby establishments according to their musical styles, add music to the broadcast playlist and interact with other users present.

Instead of putting a coin in the venerable record player, Jukeboard users buy “streaming packs” for at least 20 cents and have full access to Deezer or Spotify databases.

For bartenders and restaurateurs, who will have to take out a monthly subscription, Jukeboard offers a web portal from which they will keep control of the musical atmosphere of their establishment. With the guarantee that the application will reject music that does not respect the style of the place or that plays too often and will automatically create, in case of silence, a playlist to prevent your salsa or disco evening from taking a hit.

The web portal and the iPhone Jukeboard application are currently in beta, pending the arrival of the Android and Windows Phone versions.
