Jfrog, an Israeli company that develops solutions for software development, has just raised $ 50 million (approximately € 45.7 million) from Scale Venture Partners, Sapphire Ventures, Battery Ventures, Vintage Investment Partners and Qumra Capital . Other investors, already present in the capital, also participated in this round table. The company has a subsidiary in France, in Toulouse.

Founded in 2008, JFrog is an open-source tool editor for software development. These are aimed at developers and DevOps teams. “JFrog automates a number of processes that were once tedious, generating bugs in production code, and not secure,” explains Andy Vitus, partner at Scale Venture Partners. The goal is to save time in delivering software.

“The software world is tired of industry diktats and is looking for a universal and powerful solution to manage software packages for all technologies. Development and DevOps teams deserve better – they want a multi-package, highly available, and secure solution. JFrog Artifactory and JFrog Bintray are not just Docker registries, or npm or Maven repositories: they are the tools already used by larger companies to store, govern and distribute their software, ”says Shlomi Ben Haim, co-founder and CEO of JFrog.

The company now claims more than 50,000 open-source installations and 1,500 customers, including Amazon, Google, Netflix, Barclays, as well as Capgemini and PSA. With this new investment, JFrog, which has around 100 employees around the world, intends to continue its technological development.
