New fundraising for the French startup Isorg, specializing in large format printed image sensors. The company announces a round of funding of 24 million euros led by New Science Ventures and Bpifrance, via its Large Venture fund. Financière Fonds Privés and the historic investors Sofimac Innovation, CEA Investissement and Dynalim also participated.
This is Isorg’s second round of funding after a fundraising of 6.4 million euros in 2014.
Isorg was launched in 2010 by Jean-Yves Gomez and Emmanuel Guérineau. The startup’s technology consists of converting plastic and glass substrates into smart surfaces. Its solution is aimed at different markets: smartphones, tablets, computers, but also biometrics and medical imaging. Isorg sees itself as a pioneer in organic and printed electronics for photo-detectors and large-format image sensors.
” We are actively preparing for the large-scale commercial launch of our image sensors and printed electronics solutions. Manufacturers of consumer electronics and biometric devices are very demanding », Develops Jean-Yves Gomez, managing director and co-founder of Isorg, in a press release.
