Netatmo announces that it has completed its first fundraising, for an amount of 4.5 million euros with Iris Capital, FSN PME and
Pascal Cagni (ex-CEO Europe of Apple).
The specialist in connected objects has developed a weather station that also measures air quality, and provides information on the environment, via a dedicated application. Netatmo was created by Fred Potter, an Internet of Things specialist, in 2011. With this fundraising, Netatmo plans to boost growth and launch new connected objects in the second half of 2013. Fred Potter intends to develop activities in Europe, the United States and Asia. “After a few months of marketing, demand continues to grow and we are recording a very strong increase in our turnover in all the zones in which we are present. The arrival of new financial partners will allow us to pursue our innovations, develop new objects and expand our distribution channels and territories, ”says Fred Potter, CEO of Netatmo.
Today, Netatmo weather stations observe the environment in more than 105 countries around the world and are distributed in Apple Stores in the United States and Europe. 2013, the company aims for strong growth and plans new recruitments in order to develop and market its future products. “
