If the ransoms demanded were relatively low, 300 dollars to be paid in Bitcoins, the overall cost of this attack to the world economy could reach the billion dollars, according to the estimates of the American institute. Cyber Consequences Unit, reported by Reuters. Following the latter, many companies and institutions saw their functioning disrupted, like British hospitals, or even Renault. The French car manufacturer has in fact stopped its factories in operation this weekend. The Douai factory was still closed on Monday, as a precaution. Then, in security, because there will be subjects of observations of the data of someone against their will… without fearing a Big Brother ”, he explained on the public service.
This support of Alain Juppé was also illustrated by his opposition against the Intelligence Act of 2015, “because excessive in its security approach“. A vision he had expressed in a column published on Atlantico.
On the question of whether, yes or no, digital technology deserves to have a full-fledged ministry, separate from the command of Bercy, the deputy mayor of Le Havre simply replied three months ago: “I do not know“.
